The interior is flooded with light, as this naturally lighted picture shows. The fireplace dominates the living room, with shelving, cabinets, railing and stair made from white oak cut when the lot was cleared.

On the south side, this roomy deck is a pleasure in most seasons. It's high enough to be in the treetops, and in the fall their leaves all turn colors. See the photo at the bottom right corner!
Most houses could benefit from a southern window wall. This one leads out to the cozy warm deck, protected on the west side from the prevailing winds.
